This Privacy Policy describes how Nova Answer ("Nova Answer", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you use our website, mobile and desktop applications (including the Beacon app), and related call-handling and messaging services (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here.

1.Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account information — your name, email address, and mobile phone number used to register.
- Device information — a device identifier and push-notification token so we can deliver incoming calls to your Beacon app.
- Call flow configuration — the greetings, menus, voices, and routing rules you create.
- Billing information — handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
Information collected automatically
- Call log — the caller's number, the number they reached, the date, time, and length of each call, the call's status, and the path the call took through your flow.
- Usage & log data — IP address, app version, device/OS type, and diagnostic logs.
Call content & assistant memory
- Assistant memory — to recognize people who call you more than once, your assistant keeps a short text summary of a call and a few key facts about the caller (for example, their name or the reason they called). This is generated from the live conversation and is tied to the caller's phone number so the assistant can continue naturally next time. It is plain text, not audio.
- Messages & voicemail — if a caller chooses to leave you a message or voicemail, we store its content (including the caller's name and number, the message text, and, for voicemail, the audio recording and any transcript) so you can review it.
2.How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Route forwarded calls to the correct account and run your IVR flow;
- Deliver transferred calls to your Beacon app and send related notifications;
- Filter spam and screen unknown callers;
- Provide call analytics, support, billing, and account management;
- Maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with law.
3.Mobile Information & SMS Data
We do not sell your data, and we never share mobile opt-in or SMS consent data with third parties for their own marketing. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
If you opt in to receive text messages from Nova Answer (for example, account verification codes, call notifications, or service alerts), we collect your mobile phone number and your consent record. This information is used only to operate and support the messaging program you opted into.
Categories of third parties with whom we may share information strictly to deliver the Services — and not for their own marketing — include our communications infrastructure provider (for sending SMS and connecting calls) and push-notification providers. These providers are contractually limited to using the data only to provide their service to us. See our SMS Terms & Conditions for messaging program details, opt-out (STOP), and help (HELP) instructions.
4.How We Share Information
We share information only as needed to run the Services:
- Service providers — telephony, messaging, push notification, cloud hosting, and payment processors who act on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal & safety — when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Nova Answer or others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their independent marketing.
5.Calls, Assistant Memory & Recordings
Nova Answer processes inbound calls forwarded to your account so the AI assistant can greet callers, screen them, and connect legitimate callers to you. The live screening conversation is processed in real time and is not saved as an audio recording.
What we do keep is limited and exists to make your assistant useful to you:
- Assistant memory — a short text summary and a few key facts about a caller, so the assistant can recognize returning callers and pick up where it left off. This is text only; it contains no call audio.
- Voicemail & messages — if a caller chooses to leave one, the message (and, for voicemail, its audio and transcript) is stored so you can review it later.
You can view this information in the app and permanently delete all of it at any time (see Data Retention & Deletion). You are responsible for complying with applicable call-recording and consent laws in your jurisdiction, including any requirement to notify callers when a voicemail or message is being recorded.
6.Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your account information, call flow configuration, call log, assistant memory, and any saved messages or voicemail for as long as your account is active, so the Services and your assistant's memory keep working for you.
You can delete everything at any time. From within the Beacon app, or at nova-answer.com/delete-account, you can permanently delete your account and all associated data — your profile, call log, assistant memory, contacts, messages, and voicemail. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone; routine encrypted backups are purged on their normal rotation within 30 days. We keep no data after deletion except records we are legally required to retain.
7.Security
We use industry-standard safeguards — including encryption in transit, access controls, and authenticated APIs — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and promptly address vulnerabilities.
8.Your Rights & Choices
- Access & deletion — permanently delete your account and all associated data yourself at nova-answer.com/delete-account or in the app, or request a copy of your personal data by contacting us.
- Messaging opt-out — reply STOP to any text message at any time to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for assistance.
- Account closure — disable call forwarding on your phone and close your account at any time.
9.Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
10.Changes & Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
